What is Meditation?

Meditation is not about becoming another person, a new person or even a better person. It is about training your consciousness and developing a healthy sense of your own perception. You are not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You learn to observe them without judgment. And finally you can start to have a better understanding of them.

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the here and now. All your concentration is on your current activity – no matter what you do. Distractions have no chance anymore, you are focused and fully engaged. Whoever masters this ability will benefit throughout his life, whether at school, at work or in his private life.

Learning and improving your meditation skills

Nobody can meditate perfectly overnight. Basically, it is a skill that can be learned – just like playing the violin or dancing. In order to meditate successfully and, above all, to benefit from its advantages, consistent practice is required – but then it becomes as easy as pie to focus and actively control your consciousness.
